Reports suggest that Meta Platforms Inc. (NASDAQ:META) is teaming up with LG Corporation to launch an upgraded Quest Pro virtual reality headset in 2025.
According to The Verge, a Korean news publication, Maeil business Newspaper, uncovered that the tech giants are heading towards a joint venture. The new VR device could be priced around $2,000, featuring LG displays and components from LG subsidiaries such as LG Innotek.
The Korean publication also hinted at Meta’s plan to roll out a budget-friendly Quest headset next year that might be priced under $200. However, Meta has yet to comment on the matter.

The rumored pricing of the forthcoming headsets seems to deviate from Meta’s current pricing strategy. The Quest 2 retails for $299, while the announced Quest 3 is set to be sold at $499.
