Wall Street looks to continue its recent market rally with major averages tracking higher into the green on Thursday morning. Here are some stocks to watch on Thursday:
- Shares of Ford ( NYSE: F ) inched higher by 0.8% after the American automaker announced an agreement with both PT Vale Indonesia Tbk ( OTCPK:PTNDF ) and China’s Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Co. to invest a total of $4.5B in nickel production in Indonesia.
- The California based streaming firm Roku ( NASDAQ: ROKU ) made public that it will lay off approximately 6% of its workforce which will impact roughly 200 employees. The decision came as the firm looks to reduce its operating expenses Y/Y. As a result, the stock gained 3.2% in pre-market trading.
- Kohl’s Corporation ( NYSE: KSS ) jumped 4.5% on early market action as the retail department store watched CEO Thomas Kingsbury disclose a $2.02M stock purchase . Per an SEC filing, Kingsbury added 92,500 shares of the company's common stock in multiple transactions at prices ranging from $21.73 to $21.92.
- Phillip Morris International ( NYSE: PM ) moved up 1.7% in early market trading after the organization received an analyst upgrade from neutral to overweight by JPMorgan. The financial institution hiked its price target towards the tobacco leader by 22% stating a new target of $116 a share.
From a wider lens, investors will also notice that the tech heavy Nasdaq Composite ( COMP.IND ) has now re-entered into bull market territory for the first time in nearly three years with the index up more than 20% from its closing low on December 28.
