AST SpaceMobile Inc. ( NASDAQ: ASTS ) announced that its BlueWalker 3 test satellite has been fully assembled and left its Midland, Texas headquarters and manufacturing facility.
The next step for BlueWalker 3 over the next few weeks will be undergoing final environmental testing at an off-site facility in California, which will provide flight data to be used during the launch at Cape Canaveral.
BlueWalker 3 will continue its journey to Cape Canaveral, with a launch window set for early to mid-September pending final testing, final integration, ground transport, timely readiness of the launch vehicle, weather conditions, and other unknowns.
AST SpaceMobile ( ASTS ) has spent about $87M building and testing the demo satellite.
Shares of ASTS traded flat on Wednesday afternoon at $6.61 vs. the post-SPAC range of $4.84 to $13.21.
