- Healthcare distributor Cosmos Health ( NASDAQ: COSM ) announced Tuesday that the company extended and updated its previously disclosed agreement to acquire the Greek pharmaceutical company CANA Laboratories.
- “Cosmos Health has successfully renegotiated the acquisition price of Cana to achieve much improved payment terms,” the company said, adding that the updated letter of intent will remain effective until May 31.
- CANA manufactures, sells, distributes, and markets original branded products in partnership with pharma giants such as AstraZeneca ( AZN ), Janssen of Johnson & Johnson ( JNJ ), Merck ( MRK ), and Viatris ( VTRS ) as well as FMCG companies such as Nestle ( OTCPK:NSRGY ) ( OTCPK:NSRGF ) and Unilever ( UL ).
- Cosmos ( COSM ) first announced an agreement to acquire Cana in July, intending to expand its product pipeline and vertically integrate its manufacturing and R&D capabilities.
