- Industrial Production in France decreased 1.10% in March of 2023 over the previous month, from an upwardly revised 1.4% rise in February, and compared to market expectations of a 0.3% decline.
- Output slumped significantly for mining & quarrying, energy, water supply, waste management (-1.2% vs 2.3%); manufacturing (-1.1% vs 1.3%), mainly prompted by coking & refining (-45.6% vs 0.8%); electrical equipment (-6% vs 5.3%) and construction (-0.9% vs 1.7%).
- Year-on-year, industrial production went down by 0.1%, following a downwardly revised 0.9% growth in the previous month.
