- Kingsbury will replace Michelle Gass who left the retailer last year to become the CEO of Levi's. An announcement is not expected this week, according to a NYT report from Wednesday, which cited people familiar.
- Kingsbury has been a member of Kohl's board since 2021, when he was added to the board as part of an agreement with activist investor Macellum.
- Kohl's ( KSS ) announced in November that Kingsbury would transition to the interim CEO role in early December.
