Packaged food maker Kraft Heinz ( NASDAQ: KHC ) said on Monday that it had appointed Carlos Abrams-Rivera as chief executive and member of the board, effective January 1, 2024.
Shares of Kraft were down 0.4% in early trading.
Abrams-Rivera succeeds Miguel Patricio, who will move on to the role of non-executive chair of the board. Patricio has served as Kraft's CEO since 2019.
Kraft added that until January 1, Abrams-Rivera will continue in his role as president of the North America zone with the added responsibilities of becoming President of Kraft Heinz, effective immediately.
