- BAE Systems ( OTCPK:BAESY ) has won a contract from Lockheed Martin ( NYSE: LMT ) to deliver advanced infrared seeker technology for the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) interceptor missile.
- Under the contract, BAE Systems ( OTCPK:BAESY ) will design and manufacture next-generation seeker technology for the missile, with work performed at its Electronic Systems facilities in Endicott, New York; Huntsville, Alabama; and Nashua, New Hampshire.
- The THAAD seeker provides critical sensing and guidance capabilities to protect the U.S. and global allies from ballistic missiles. Guided by BAE Systems’ infrared technology, THAAD interceptors engage ballistic missiles and destroy warheads with kinetic force in or out of the atmosphere.
- On Monday, BAE Systems won $88M contract for ACV-30 test vehicles
