NCR Voyix: Not Nearly Enough Progress

NCR Voyix ( VYX ) really has considerable work to do before this becomes an investment consideration. This company is in a fast-moving software area where the rules are under constant innovation. I am probably telling you my age when I remember that NCR stood for "National Cash Register." I am also old enough to remember when at least some cash registers did not need electric to run. But since then, the requirements for a cash register have changed dramatically. One of the more obvious requirements is that the cash register automatically updates the inventory whenever something is purchased. This and a lot of other requirements for the electronic age have required software and basically computers in place of those old cash registers. The business world is all about savings steps and hence costs. It is cheaper for the computer to do it where possible....
