In an update on operations affected by the Alberta wildfires, Obsidian Energy ( OBE ) said Tuesday that 9,700 boe/day of production remains curtailed across Peace River and Pembina.
Obsidian ( OBE ) said the Harmon Valley South field is being restarted but 1,200 boe/day of production in Peace River will remain temporarily curtailed until the remaining wildfire threat has subsided.
In Pembina, the company said it restored 2,500 boe/day of production in recent days, leaving 8,500 boe/day still offline in the area.
Elsewhere, Baytex Energy ( NYSE: BTE ) said it shut-in ~20K boe/day of production in the Peace River and Peavine regions starting May 13, and 4K boe/day remains shut since May 5 due to third-party infrastructure constrictions.
Additionally, Whitecap Resources ( OTCPK:SPGYF ) said it restarted some operations this week as cooler temperatures and rain brought relief in some areas, but conditions have since worsened again, and it now has 27K boe/day of output curtailed .
Kiwetinohk Energy ( OTCPK:KWTEF ) said a fire to the north of its Simonette operations is out of control, affecting 18K-20K boe/day of production.
