Ryanair ( NASDAQ: RYAAY ) will likely cut back on summer flights due delayed plane deliveries from Boeing ( BA ), according to executives.
Eddie Wilson, Ryanair DAC CEO, told Reuters that some routes planned for July and August will be reduced, but overall targets for the year will not be augmented. Customers are not expected to be impacted by the schedule shift.
Group CEO Michael O’Leary indicated that the delay due to certain manufacturing defects does not impact the airline’s plans to potentially purchase more aircraft from the American aircraft-maker, according to the report . Shares of Ryanair edged modestly lower on Tuesday.
