- SIGMA Lithium ( NASDAQ: SGML ) said on Friday it had appointed Brian Talbot as the company's Chief Operating Officer
- The company said it ended the quarter with C$123.3M in cash as of June 30, 2022, providing sufficient liquidity to advance the Grota do Cirilo Project into production.
- The Phase 1 construction at the Project remains on track with commissioning expected to begin December 2022, it added.
- ( SGML ) doubled its planned near-term production to 531,000 tonnes per year of Battery Grade Sustainable Lithium.
- The company said Talbot is a experienced operator, who worked in metallurgical processing, mine operations and development in his previous roles. He held leadership roles at lithium producers for over a decade, including Galaxy Resources (now Allkem) and Bakita (now Sinomine Resource Group).
