Spirit Airlines’ ( NYSE: SAVE ) flight attendants have approved a new contract, including significant wage increases.
According to the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA representing the workers, the contract includes an increase in the sick leave cap to 500 hours, effective immediately. Amendments were also made to the company-paid medical insurance and rest policies for layovers.
Base wages will be hiked between 10% and 27%, with plans to further increase wages over the coming years. The pay raise is retroactive to April 1.
Shares of Spirit Airlines ( SAVE ) edged modestly lower on Thursday.
