As climate change drives an increase in wildfires, UNICEF Canada is raising the alarm: children are at greater risk. According to a new UNICEF report entitled " Safe from Wildfire Smoke " particulate matter released from wildfires has been found to be approximately 10 times more harmful to respiratory health than ambient air pollution, particularly in young children.
