U.S. equity markets rallied this week as investors digested a critical slate of employment data pointing to a measured cooling in labor markets and weighed a wave of policy “trial balloons” from the White House centered on affordability. Interest rates pulled-back at the longer-end of the curve, as labor market data was soft enough to reinforce the disinflation narrative but not weak enough to justify a January Fed rate cut.
