I originally covered Illinois Tool Works ( ITW ) in late 2024, following the release of their Q3 2024 earnings. At that time the stock traded for about $272 per share and has fluctuated quite a bit over the past approximately 16 months, dipping to a low point in April 2025 at just $214 and reaching a peak just last week at more than $300 per share. Although the stock recently set a new 52-week high, it has slightly underperformed the broad market, as measured by ( SPY ), by nearly 3% since my initial write-up....
