What Is Next For Tariffs?

There is considerable confusion about when, and even if, the tariffs imposed via the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), now ruled illegal by the Supreme Court, will be refunded. The Supreme Court did not address the issue, nor should they have, in my opinion. President Trump and the Treasury Secretary have said that it will take the courts a considerable amount of time for the courts to determine if, when, and to whom the tariff refunds will be paid. Some congress members, including Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith, have predicted that none of the tariffs will ever be refunded....
